First, I completely rewrote Dongsa, my Korean verb conjugation app, in Dart/Flutter. I added an offline dictionary and pronunciations. By switching to Flutter I was able to release an iOS version with no extra effort. Dongsa has now been downloaded over 100,000 times and it has a 4.5 rating on Google Play.

Second, I launched an app which helps learners of Korean learn Chinese roots. ~3/4 of Korean words are derived from Chinese characters so knowing the meaning of each character and how it is pronounced and written in Hangul can help you rapidly increase your vocabulary.

My other passion is board and card games. Over the years, I’ve written over 30 rules engines for tabletop games to various levels of completeness. My most recent project is Trickster’s Table which contains licensed implementations of modern trick taking games. Currently, it includes implementations of Boast or Nothing, Yokai Septet (2-player) and Potato Man and I’m working on getting licenses for many more games. I’m going to open source the Monte Carlo Tree Search and neural network library I wrote to train games soon. I plan on adding around one game a month. Rather than have ads cluttering the screen or micro-transactions I decided to make the app 100% free and support the development with Patreon. 50% of all donations are shared with the rights holders of the games that are featured in the app. If you are interested, you can find out more here: https://www.patreon.com/TrickstersTable
